The Weymouth Art Association (WAA) was founded in the 1961. This year marks the 49th anniversary of WAA’s continuous service to support the creative arts. The WAA is a non-profit organization, a cooperative of artists, and art patrons who bring art and culture to the Weymouth community to establish a sense of pride and spirit.
From October through April, the WAA provides meetings at the Tufts Main Library that include a demonstration by professional artists. Art exhibitions in April and December are available to members to display their art work and offer an opportunity to earn ribbons and awards. Other viewing opportunities consist of the “Around Town Program” and the “Artist of the Month Program.”
Around Town Display Program Members have the opportunity to display and sell their work at several locations throughout Weymouth. This is done on a two-month rotating basis which is a good way to get local exposure at the following locations: Weymouth Town Hall, Treasurer’s office, Mayor’s Office, Jordan Insurance Company, Colonial Federal Savings Bank, and Rizzo Insurance Company.

APRIL ARTIST OF THE MONTH:
ROSEANNE ZAINO is our featured artist. She was introduced to photography at Mass Art and has affected everything everything she does. She is an expert with Adobe software and retouches photos/documents for designers for a living. Her travels to India, Cuba, Colombia and California are seen in the exhibit also. Her love of color and design are evident. Roseanne has also shown us her love of her furry companion, Half-tone the cat. Don’t miss her wonderful exhibit of photographs.
Artist of the Month Program
A member of the Weymouth Art Association may exhibit their artwork in a one man show for one month at Tufts Library in the main reading room.
